Richard Cox and
the Cox's Orange Pippin

Celebrate - Apple Day, October 21st

We hope that on Apple Day each year the orchard will become the focus of a local festival. Perhaps it will give the impetus to making Colnbrook an orchard again. Why not plant fruit trees in your garden and ask the Brough of Spelthorne to plant them in the verges? Become a dabbler (planter of apple pips) like Richard Cox. A new rich variety may be waiting to be born....

Ask the pubs to specialise in Cox's Orange Pippin tarts and juice and other apple-related food. The growing, celebration and enjoyment of this famous fruit can only add to the identity and local distinctiveness of Colnbrook.

Location

The orchard is in Albany Park off Park Street, Colnbrook. From the M25, take the exit at Junction 14 to Poyle. At the first roundabout on Horton Road turn right onto Poyle Road, then turn left at the junction of Poyle Road and Park Street. Albany Park is the third road on the right.
